Pitchfork used in roofers dispute over money

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- A roofer is at large after swinging a pitchfork at a co-worker.

Madison police say a concerned resident on Maple Valley Drive called in after watching an altercation between the two roofers.

The witness told police one had climbed up a 25-foot ladder to the top of an apartment building roof and the other was on the roof swinging a pitchfork at the man on the ladder.

The witness says they were both speaking spanish, but was able to determine their dispute was over money.

The victim was able to hurry down the ladder and was treated by paramedics, but the suspect fled the scene prior to police arriving and remains at large at this time.
