MADISON (WKOW) -- Make Music Madison is a one-day outdoor music festival held every year on the Summer Solstice, June 21.

According to Make Music Madison's website, there are now 700 communities worldwide that celebrate the Summer Solstice with a music festival.

Public spaces throughout the city such as sidewalks and parks will be stages for the musicals.  Performances are scheduled between 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Beth Mastin joined us on Wake Up Wisconsin to talk about the event. She says there are free apps you can download to help you navigate where you can see certain bands, musicians and singers. Head to www.makemusicmadison.org to download the apps.
