UW Platteville assures they will be ready for students in fall

PLATTEVILLE (WKOW) --- Assessment of the UW-Platteville campus continues following an EF2 tornado that struck campus Monday.

Six campus structures have been determined to be repairable, according to inspectors. Those buildings include Bridgeway Commons, Southwest Hall, Rountree Commons, Engineering Hall, Ralph E. Davis Pioneer Stadium, and the Greenhouse.

Officials say they have secured the buildings impacted by fencing and only authorized personnel are allowed into the sites.


Assessments

on campus are being conducted by UW-Platteville staff, UW System staff and insurance and engineering teams.


Chancellor

Dennis J. Shields assures the community that campus will be ready for the school start in the fall.
