BURLINGTON (WKOW) --Racine County Sheriff's deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Tuesday afternoon on Highway 83 just south of the Burlington bypass.

The vehicle was stopped after agents with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit performed a controlled purchase of heroin from the two suspects.  The couple, Blair Larose and his girlfriend Ashley Fay, along with their two children, ages one and three, were in the vehicle at the time of the stop.  This was now the third buy from the couple and the second in which the children were present during the deal.

During the purchase, the suspects had suggested leaving one of their children as collateral to ensure their return with additional heroin.  Racine agents joined members of the Kenosha Drug Task Force and served a search warrant at the suspects' residence on Shorewood Drive in Salem.  Agents seized drug paraphernalia and found the residence to be in deplorable condition.  Kenosha Human Services responded to the scene and took the two children into protective custody.

Larose (32) and Fay (26) were both taken to the Racine County Jail on charges of: 3 counts delivery of heroin and 4 counts 2nd degree reckless endangerment.
