MADISON (WKOW) -- The National Weather Service now reports that nine tornadoes hit southern Wisconsin this week.
Eight of the nine twisters occurred Monday night or Tuesday morning. NWS officials say the ninth touched down Wednesday morning.
Here are details of each:
10:45-10:50 p.m. in Platteville -- EF2 touched down west of Platteville and traveled through Memorial Park onto UW-Platteville campus
10:50 p.m. in Platteville -- EF1 touched down near the Platteville Golf and Country Club
Around 11 p.m. in Iowa County about 3 miles east of Rewey -- NWS reports 50-75 oak trees taken down and about three buildings damaged. Sporadic damage path with length roughly 1 to 1.5 miles. No strength given. (*newly confirmed Friday 6/20)
11:36-11:38 in Green County about 3-4 miles northeast of Blanchardville -- EF1 touches down along Hay Hollow Rd.

12:08-12:10 a.m. in Verona -- EF3 touches down, damaging homes and Country View Elementary
12:15 a.m. in Madison -- EF2 touches down four to five miles southwest of the State Capitol, damaging homes in the Friar Ln. area
12:21 a.m. in Madison -- EF1 touches down in the Marquette neighborhood (*newly confirmed Friday 6/20)
7:27 a.m. in Dane County about 2 miles northeast of Black Earth -- EF0 touches down in 1/4-mile long path, ripping apart trees (*newly confirmed Friday 6/20)
The National Weather Service says this may not be the final total since it is still investigating other possible tornadoes.
