TOWN OF SUN PRAIRIE (WKOW) --Two people escape a burning home early Saturday morning.
The Dane County Sheriff's Office says nearly a half dozen fire departments were called to the home in the Town of Sun Prairie in the 55-hundred block of County Trunk Highway VV around 4:15 a.m. Two people in the home had evacuated.
Fire departments from Sun Prairie, Deer Grove, Marshall, Burke, and Bristol responded to the fire, according to the sheriff. EMS from Maple Bluff, Marshall and Cottage Grove also responded as there were minor injuries.
Investigators say the fire damage was limited to the upstairs bedrooms and the roof of the home. The preliminary investigation indicates the fire was caused by an electrical problem, but it's still under investigation.
