According to a news release from the Department of Public Health for Madison & Dane County, a woman was playing with a family member around 2 p.m. near the corner of Jacobs Way and Theresa Terrace when a dog came up to her and bit her on the arm unprovoked.  The dog is described as all white and medium-sized. The breed is unknown, and the dog was wearing a blue collar.

Anyone with more information is asked to call 608-255-2345 and ask for the animal services officer. If the animal is not found, the victim may have to have a series of painful and expensive injections to prevent rabies.
