MPD release surveillance photos of battery suspect

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police seek the public's help in identifying the person seen in surveillance camera images for a battery earlier this month at the Red Rock Saloon.

Police say a 51-year-old man was celebrating Father's Day with his adult daughter at the W. Johnson Street bar Sunday, June 15.  They bought drinks just after 2:00 in the morning and for an unknown reason, the man was pushed by one suspect into a crowd of people.  A second suspect then punched the victim, knocking him unconscious.

The suspects fled with a group of people.  The victim suffered a concussion, broken jaw and other non-life threatening injuries.  Anyone with information to the Father's Day battery is asked to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at 266-6014.
