UPDATE: All lanes back open after crash and downed power line

MADISON (WKOW) -- Dane County Communications tells 27 News the accident near the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and Wingra Drive has been cleaned up and lanes are back open.

Police say a traffic light was struck by a vehicle around 4:00 Thursday morning, causing a downed power line and knocking out power to more than 2,000 customers.

MADISON (WKOW) -- Roads around the intersection of Fish Hatchery Road and Wingra Drive are temporarily closed Thursday morning due to a downed power line.

According to the Dane County Communication center, North bound lanes from Park Street to Fish Hatchery Road are closed.

Madison police say a vehicle hit a traffic light around 4 a.m. There's no word on the condition of the driver.

Many people in that area lost power, MG&E reported as many as 2,400 customers were without power at one point. Crews were still on the scene as of 7 a.m.
