Two arrested after reported gunfire behind Cassville tavern

VILLAGE OF CASSVILLE (WKOW) -- Two men were arrested early Saturday morning in connection with reported gun fire behind a Cassville tavern.

According to Cassville Police, officers went to at the Silver Spigot Saloon at 116 E Amelia St. after the Grant County Sheriff's Department received a call at 2:37 a.m. reporting gun fire behind the bar. When officers arrived, they found drug paraphernalia and a shell casing in the beer garden area behind the tavern.

After further investigation, officials arrested Cory Michael Conn of Cassville and a 17-year-old male. A handgun was also found. No one was injured. The incident remains under investigation.
