Severe weather causes outages in southern Wisconsin

 MADISON (WKOW) -- Severe weather Sunday night caused major power outages across parts of southern Wisconsin.

Alliant energy reported as many as 3,000 people in Iowa county were without power around 11:30 p.m. 47 customers in Grant county were in the dark, 29 from Rock county and 26 in Green county.

They also said 78 homes in Columbia county, 49 in Sauk county, and 17 in Dane county had lost power during the storms.

Neither MG&E nor We Energies reported any major outages Sunday night.
