United Alloy expanding with help from WEDC

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Governor Scott Walker made a stop in Janesville Tuesday to help celebrate a local company's expansion.

United Alloy is using a low interest loan and tax credits from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to help it build a 112,000 square foot addition. The project will double the size of the company's production facility and will create at least 35 new jobs.

"I think its a powerful message not only for the employees here, the 100 strong they have, but for Janesville, Rock County and this entire region," Gov. Walker said, "This is suggesting that manufacturing is strong and continuing to grow."

The WEDC is providing United Alloy with a $500,000 loan and another $130,000 in tax credits.
