Madison police say no significant incidents at Rhythm & Booms

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison Police Chief Dan Koval says his department reported no significant incidents at last Saturday's Rhythm & Booms festival and fireworks show.

In his latest blog on the city web site, posted Thursday, Chief Koval noted he has no concerns with the new venue.

Rhythm & Booms moved to downtown Madison this year after 21 years at Warner Park in the north part of the city.

Madison Police staffed the 1.6 mile John Nolen Drive corridor where the festival was held, as well as the Olin Park areas.
Koval said his department would like to thank all those who attended for "their responsible behavior in helping to make this a fun and safe evening."
