JANESVILLE (AP) -- A Janesville man is accused of beating two children with a hammer and kitchen utensils because he couldn't find a movie he wanted to watch.
Court records say 23-year-old Brandon L. Quinn is charged with two felony counts of child abuse. A judge on Thursday set his cash bond at $20,000.
Police say the abuse took place over an 8-hour period and involved a "series of instruments." They say Quinn beat the children and choked them until they passed out.
Authorities say someone from out of town phoned in a tip Wednesday about possible child abuse. Officers found the children walking outside with an adult, and say the kids had injuries to their arms, legs, heads and faces.
No defense attorney was listed in online court records.
