Woman, 23, hospitalized after heroin overdose in Janesville

JANESVILLE (WKOW) -- A 23-year-old woman was hospitalized Friday night after a heroin overdose.

According to the Janesville Police Department, officers went to the 500 block of South Parker Drive after getting a report of an unconscious woman. When they arrived the woman had no pulse and officers did chest compressions until paramedics arrived.

The woman regained consciousness and was taken to the hospital, where she was found to have overdosed on heroin.

The incident remains under investigation.
