Posted: Updated:

UPDATE (WKOW) -- Our affiliate, WQOW, says the owner of a boat found capsized on a Dunn County lake has been found.

Last Thursday, the Dunn County Sheriff's Department was notified of an overturned boat found on Tainter Lake and started searching for a missing man.

Monday, officials say the owner has been located and confirmed the boat was his.  The owner says he tied up his boat, but he does not know how it got back where it was found.

WQOW says it's not clear if someone else may have taken the boat.  Officials did not confirm if a search would continue.

STODDARD (WKOW) -- Stoddard Fire Department is still investigating a capsized boating incident at Goose Island which left four passengers stuck in the water Saturday night.

Our affiliate, WXOW, says four boaters were stuck in the Mississippi River after the boat capsized south of Goose Island Campground towards Stoddard.

One of the passengers says the driver was driving erratically which caused the boat to tip over.

All four passengers are safe.
