Madison police investigate armed robbery

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- Madison police are searching for an armed robbery suspect.

They say a white male in his 40's entered the Summit Credit Union on Thierer Road on Madison's east side just after 9:00 a.m. Monday morning.

He passed a note to the teller indicating he had an explosive device, and then ran from the scene with an unknown amount of money.

Police say he had collar-length brown hair, was wearing eyeglasses, a blue Billabong sweatshirt, jeans and white tennis shoes.

If the suspect is spotted, do not approach him, and instead call 911.
