MAZOMANIE (WKOW) -- Republican Governor Scott Walker and Democratic challenger Mary Burke are campaigning in Southern Wisconsin Tuesday.
Burke toured a hops farm in Mazomanie before visiting the Potosi Brewing Co., then heading west to the Food Enterprise Center in Viroqua.
Meanwhile, Gov. Walker is touring a powder coating plant in Oregon and a specialty wristband manufacturer in New Berlin.
27 News Capitol Bureau Chief Greg Neumann is covering the campaign stops in Mazomanie and Oregon, and will look at the candidates' messages to voters in 27 News at 5, 6 and 10.
The events 17 weeks before the November 4 general election and five weeks before the August 12 primary.
Walker is running unchallenged while Burke will run in a Democratic primary election against State Representative Brett Hulsey, of Madison. Hulsey is seen as a longshot to defeat the better-funded Burke, who is a former Wisconsin Commerce Secretary and Trek Bicycle Corp. executive. She is also a member of the Madison Metropolitan School Board.
