Former Verizon employee accused of sexting customers

Posted: Updated:
HUDSON, Wis. (WKOW) -- A former Verizon employee in western Wisconsin is accused of sending lewd photos and messages to young female customers.

Authorities say six girls or women have come forward and think there could be more complainants.

Investigators say they found 31-year-old Barton Scott with what appeared to be the names, email addresses, user names and passwords for female customers of the Verizon store where he worked. Police confiscated at least six cell phones and multiple tablets.

Scott is facing felony charges in St. Croix County, including exposing a child to harmful material.

KMSP-TV in the Twin Cities reports the victims came into contact with Scott mainly at the Verizon outlet in Hudson, Wis.

Verizon says it no longer employs the Woodbury, Minnesota man.
