Man creates disturbance at downtown Madison bar

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- A 42-year old Madison man was arrested on Monday after creating a disturbance at Dotty Dumpling's Dowry in downtown Madison.

Police say Michael Kennedy was threatening the bartender, yelling at people inside the bar and refused to leave.

Police say he also made crude comments and made disturbing threats to a female patron.

When Kennedy refused to leave, officers were called and he was taken into custody outside the bar after a short struggle.

Kennedy told the arresting officer the judge would drop the charges, and the officer would soon be out of work.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the incident.

Kennedy was arrested for disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting an officer.
