LOS ANGELES (WKOW) -- Primetime Emmy nominations have been announced and "Game of Thrones" leads the way with 19 nominations, including for best drama series.

Nominations were announced in Los Angeles Thursday morning by the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The nominees for Best Actor in a Television Drama Series are: Bryan Cranston, "Breaking Bad"; Jeff Daniels, "The Newsroom"; Jon Hamm, "Mad Men"; Woody Harrelson, "True Detective"; Matthew McConaughey, "True Detective"; Kevin Spacey, "House of Cards."

The nominees for Best Actress in a Comedy Series are: Lena Dunham, "Girls"; Edie Falco, "Nurse Jackie"; Julia Louis Dreyfus, "Veep"; Melissa McCarthy, "Mike & Molly"; Amy Poehler, "Parks & Recreation"; Taylor Schilling, "Orange Is the New Black."

The nominees for Best Comedy Series are: "The Big Bang Theory," "Louis," "Modern Family," "Orange Is the New Black," "Silicon Valley," and "Veep."

The 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will be presented Aug. 25 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, hosted by Seth Meyers.
