Wisconsin teen wins White House competition

Posted: Updated:
APPLETON (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin teenager found the right mix to make it to The White House.

Sarah Ganser of Appleton is the state's representative in the White House's Healthy Lunchtime Challenge. She entered her African sweet potato stew.

She won and now she will celebrate at a state dinner with First Lady Michelle Obama and the winners from the other states next Friday.

"It's a once in a lifetime deal. You don't get a ticket to the White House, and this is a really awesome experience," said Sarah Ganser.

Ganser will also promote healthy eating habits as part of the First Lady's "Let's Move" campaign.
