Dogs could be allowed in Madison parks in the future

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) --- The Board of Park Commissioners in Madison will be looking into the idea of allowing dogs on leashes in Madison parks, according to an article in the Isthmus.

A finance blog called NerdWallet cited Madison as the fourth-best city in the country to own a dog, but the spokesperson for the City Parks tells the Isthmus that of the 265 parks in the city, only about 11 to 12 of them allow dogs on leashes.

Tony Galli is talking with the Board of Park Commissioners on the future of allowing dogs in city parks.  Stay tuned here and on 27 News at 5 & 6.
