Man robs pharmacy Sunday; quantity of drugs taken unknown

MILWAUKEE (WKOW) – Police are searching for a man who robbed a pharmacy Sunday morning.

According to the Shorewood Police Department, a black man wearing a black nylon stocking over his face entered Hayek’s Shorewood Pharmacy on 4001 N. Downer Ave at 9:13 a.m. and went to the pharmacy. There, he showed a handgun and demanded that he be given particular medications. Once he was given the medications, he fled out the back door on foot. He was last seen west of the business in the alley. No employees were hurt during the robbery. It is unknown which medications and how much were taken.

The suspect was also wearing a Cincinnati Reds baseball cap, a black T-shirt with a red T-shirt underneath, and black sweatpants.

The investigation is ongoing. Police ask that anyone who saw anything connected to the incident call the Shorewood Police Department at 414-847-2610.
