Dahmen Nation Golf Outing in memory of late Memorial principal

Posted: Updated:

MIDDLETON (WKOW) -- People gathered for a round of golf in honor of Madison Memorial High School's former principal Bruce Dahmen.

The Dahmen family hosted the first annual Dahmen Nation Golf Outing at Pleasant View Golf Course in Middleton Sunday. Dahmen died suddenly in February, leaving a Memorial community mourning. His family says the event is a way to keep Dahmen's Spartan legacy alive.

"I think Bruce was one of those guys you could go up to and just ask for help, ask for advice, and he would tell you the way he saw it," says Kendall Dahmen, Bruce's brother. "He would help you through things. It didn't have to be sports. He did a lot of things for the school."

The outing raises money for the Bruce Dahmen Foundation, a scholarship fund for students.
