State patrol wants drivers ready for Verona Road lane switch

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- The big lane switch on the Verona Road project is taking place overnight Wednesday.

All traffic will be switched from the southbound lanes to the brand new northbound lanes.

The state patrol gave 27 news a preview of the new traffic pattern, which all traffic will use beginning Thursday morning.

Tim Redman, a Trooper with the Wisconsin State Patrol says, "This is brand new pavement now were gonna be using, which seems to be a little bit wider, a little bit higher up and a little bit better of a view of what's going on, and better sight lines."

The state patrol says drivers should pay close attention to street signs and lane markings, and be cautious of other drivers.

The project is expected to be completed by November 15th.
