BELOIT (WKOW) -- A massive expansion project is underway in Beloit.
NorthStar medical broke ground Wednesday on a new 50,000 square foot facility.
When completed later this year, the facility will be home to the company's headquarters, and production of a unique radio-isotope which is used in medical diagnostic imaging.
It treats about 55,000 people a day just in the united states alone, a process because its not uranium bases as a raw material, has done a significant effort in eliminating a serious nuclear proliferation risk. :15 ))
The new facility is phase one of the planned development of a 32-acre corporate campus for NorthStar.
The entire project is expected to be completed in 2018.
