Metro Transit installing new fareboxes

Posted: Updated:

MADISON (WKOW) -- A change is coming to the way riders of Metro Transit pay fare.

Metro is installing new fareboxes on all fixed-rout buses beginning in August.

That means it will no longer accept quik tix at the end of October. Passengers can trade in the quik tix for ride cards either by mail or by visiting Metro's offices on East Washington Avenue.
