RACINE (WKOW) -- A man in Racine foiled a robbery when he came home to find a mother, and her 3 children, inside ready to steal his things.

"My computer was being unplugged when I walked in," the victim, who wants to remain anonymous, told our Milwaukee affiliate WISN. "My TV was getting staged to leave the building."

Thirty five-year-old Tanya Fawcett is now facing felony charges. Court documents say she was looking to get back at a woman and wanted to steal her stuff, but went to the wrong house.

"She was trying to get me to not call police," the victim says. "I told her it was a little too late for that and called police right there in front of her."

When police were on their way, the family tried to escape down anembankmentt across the street. There Fawcett was arrested.

She is facing 10 charges related to the burglary. She'll be in Racine county court next week for her preliminary hearing.
