Gov. Walker discusses gun violence

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- With the recent gun violence around the state Governor Scott Walker says Wisconsin needs to crackdown on criminals.

Sunday afternoon the Governor wrapped up his two day motorcycle trip across the state, with a stop at Badger Harley Davidson.

Walker says gun violence needs to be addressed at it's source.

"We look to do things in Madison and Dane County and elsewhere around the state as well to try to attack gun violence by going after the people who illegally possess firearms," said Walker. "People who are actually committing criminal acts and those people who are our trouble spots, typically habitual offenders and we want to keep them off the streets."

The motorcycle ride was part of a campaign event this weekend. His challenger Mary Burke did not make any public appearances Sunday.
