Operation Deer Watch begins

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Wisconsin officials are asking you to keep track of the deer you see during daylight hours.

The state kicked-off Operation Deer Watch on Friday.

The DNR says the data reported by the public will help monitor deer reproduction and determine the state's deer population.

Surveyors are asked to keep track of categories such as bucks, does with fawns, and lone fawns.

The surveys can then be submitted on the DNR's website.
