Badgers open scrimmage to fans

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -

Badger football fans will have a chance at an early look at this season's squad. Head coach Gary Andersen has announced he is opening up Sunday's scrimmage to the public.

"I hope we can get as many Badger fans as possible to Camp Randall on Sunday,” Andersen said. “It’s a great opportunity for them to see our team as we prepare to open the season. But just as important, our young players need to play in front of a crowd because a number of them will be counted on to play against LSU and that experience is invaluable."

The scrimmage will begin at 11 a.m. at Camp Randall. Admission is free. Fans can enter through Gate 1 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Parking is available for free in Lot 17 just north of Camp Randall.

At the conclusion of the scrimmage, one fan will win a drawing for four tickets to the Homecoming game against Maryland on Oct. 25.
