KENOSHA (WKOW) -- A Wisconsin man is recovering after fleeing from Kenosha police and shooting himself.
The Kenosha Police Department says an 18-year-old man shot himself Tuesday after officers responded to a disorderly conduct complaint. Police say he was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injury.
Authorities say the man ran away and pulled a handgun when police arrived. He pointed a gun at an officer, who took cover.
Police found the man in the basement of an empty home. They tried to convince him to come out, but then authorities heard a single gunshot. The man was found on the stairs with a gunshot wound under his chin.
As of right now, it's unclear whether or not he's been charged.
