Dogs rescued from condemned home up for adoption

Posted: Updated:
MILWAUKEE (WKOW) -- Officials in Milwaukee are looking for homes four 4 dogs rescued from unlivable conditions.

When authorities condemned the home of Octavia Burton last month, they found 7 children and 5 dogs living in squalor. The kids are now staying with relatives, but the dogs were turned over to the Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission.

The dogs were dirty and underfed; a spokesperson says one of them had to be put down, but the other 4 are recovering. Since the owners failed to claim them after 7 days the dogs are now up for adoption.

For information on how to adopt or become a foster parent for the dogs visit http://www.madacc.org or http://www.caninecupids.org.
