WR Reggie Love ready for more, well, love

MADISON (WKOW) -- One of the biggest question marks entering camp for the Badgers was who was going to emerge as a receiver. Wisconsin lost its top four pass catchers from 2013, and didn't have a ton of experience coming back. Through one week of camp the wide receivers may be the biggest surprise of all. Wisconsin brought in three true freshman, George Rushing, Natrell Jamerson and Krenwick Sanders, all of whom are showing their worth. While redshirt sophomore Reggie Love may be the most impressive of all of the wideouts. With senior Kenzel Doe and junior Jordan Fredrick nursing injuries, Love has emerged as a legitimate receiver in camp.

"Reggie has made some plays week in and week out. It is about time we talk about Reggie because he was impressive today," head coach Gary Andersen said after the team's intrasquad scrimmage.

"I'm proud of Reggie. He's a young man whose battled, whose fought and I think he's made football more important to him."

Love has one career reception, coming in 2012. He redshirted in 2013 while recovering from a knee injury. In the team's scrimmage on Sunday, Love had three catches including an over-the-shoulder touchdown catch from Joel Stave. Love is out to prove he can be relied upon at the receiver position.

"I want to make sure they know my name," Love said.

"I want to make sure they know I've arrived, but at the same time it's still about the team because we want to make sure we get something accomplished."
