 WAUKEGAN, IL (WKOW) --- The Amber Alert has been canceled.

Waukegan Police tell 27 News the children were dropped off to officials this afternoon.

The 3-year-old boy and 4-year-old sister were dropped off by a relative at a DCFS location, according to the Zion Police Department.

Thursday morning, the mother was at the public defender's office and the father was waiting outside with the kids and he left with them.

Zion Police still have a domestic battery warrant out for 23-year-old Dejavante Finley.

Finley is described as a black male, 5'5" and 130 lbs. He was wearing a grey T-shirt, light blue jeans and blue and black tennis shoes.

He was last seen driving a 2006 dark blue Chevy Malibu with temporary Wisconsin license plates K7561C.


WAUKEGAN, IL (WKOW) --- An Amber Alert has been issued for 4-year-old Dyniste S. Finley and her 3-year-old brother Dejavante.

The alert says the two were abducted by their father Dejavante D. Finley, 23 in Waukegan Illinois at 9:20 a.m.

The suspect is a black male who officials consider armed and dangerous.

He was last seen driving a 2006 dark blue Chevy Malibu with temporary Wisconsin licenses plates K7561C.
