MADISON (WKOW) -- A Madison man looking to sell his cell phone on Craigslist, had it stolen in a robbery after meeting up with a would-be buyer.

The 32-year-old victim told police he had arranged the meeting at a North Side gas station, and agreed to sell the phone for $450 after exchanging text messages with the suspect.

When the victim met up with the buyer, he asked to see the phone. He threatened the victim that he had a gun, and fled on foot with the phone.

The suspect is described as a black male in his early 30's, between 5'7" and 5'8", thin build. He was wearing a white t-shirt, black jeans, white shoes and a black baseball cap.
