Wisconsin's real estate market is improving

MADISON (WKOW) --  New numbers show Wisconsin's real estate market is improving.

A report from the State Department of Revenue shows the statewide equalized property value was $479 billion as of January 1.

That's an increase of more than 2.5% from the prior year.

Residential property was valued at $337 billion, up $8 billion from the last report.

That increase is the first since 2008.
