Dane Co. Democrats back Happ for AG

Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- Democrats continue to line up behind state attorney general candidate Susan Happ after her win in the democratic primary last week.

Dane County Sheriff Dave Mahoney was among the local elected officials endorsing Happ on Monday in Madison.

"It's imperative that we have an energetic, aggressive, forward-thinking individual in the office of Attorney General,"  Mahoney said.

Happ is the current Jefferson County District Attorney. She's running against Waukesha County District Attorney Brad Schimel in the November general election.

"We can get Susan Happ elected, and we can make sure that this office again is fighting for the citizens of the state of Wisconsin," Dane Co. District Attorney Ismael Ozanne said.
