NEENAH, Wis. (AP) -- A missing 6-year-old boy found in the Fox River in Neenah has died. Police say Elijah Vanderhoof was in Riverside Park with his mother, older sister and cousins Tuesday afternoon when he went missing about 4:15 p.m. Neenah police responded and began a search. The boy was found in the river about 5:30 p.m. and was taken to Theda Clark Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. *****
NEENAH (WKOW) -- A missing 6-year-old boy was found in the Fox River in Neenah.
Police say the child was taken to a medical center, but there's no word yet on his condition. Authorities say the boy went missing around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Riverside Park.
Officers and volunteers searched the park and area residents were notified with a reverse 911 phone system. Authorities found the child in the river, but they do not know how long the boy was in the water.
