Posted: Updated:
MADISON (WKOW) -- The Department of Administration announces that the GEF1 building in Madison will reopen to the public on Tuesday, September 2.

The building has been closed since May 16 because of a fire that caused damage to the building. Employees began moving back into the building starting on August 4. All 75 employees that work on the fourth floor have reoccupied the building.

Repair efforts continue on the fourth floor and a schedule when staff can return to their normal work locations will be completed in a few weeks.
