MILWAUKEE (AP) — Milwaukee police say an apparent medical emergency caused an officer to crash into another car near Miller Park.
Lieutenant Mark Stanmeyer said the 22-year-old officer was driving southbound Monday morning when he rear-ended a car stopped at a red light.
Stanmeyer says the officer and a 35-year-old woman who was in the stopped car were taken to hospitals for treatment. He says the woman's injuries were not life-threatening. The officer's condition is unclear.
Police continue to investigate. They aren't specifying what type of medical emergency they believe caused the crash.
