Badgers picked second in WCHA women's hockey poll

MADISON (WKOW) -

 The Badgers women's hockey team has been tabbed to finish second in the WCHA preseason poll behind Minnesota.

Wisconsin returns 18 letterwinners from last season's Frozen Four team. They also have five talented newcomers, including Annie Pankowski. She was voted the WCHA Rookie of the Year by the coaches in the league.

The Badgers open the season Friday at Lindenwood.
