Sylvester, Pankowski earn WCHA honors

MADISON (WKOW) -

 The Wisconsin women's hockey team dominating the Western Collegiate Hockey Association weekly honors after sweeping Lindenwood to start the season. Karley Sylvester and Annie Pankowski were singled out for their performances.

Sylvester took home WCHA Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career. The senior assist captain tallied two points on Friday. She followed that up with a career-high four points on Saturday.

Pankowski tied a school record for a freshman with four assists on Saturday. She had six shots on net. The freshman forward was tabbed as the WCHA Rookie of the Week.

The Badgers travel to Minnesota-Duluth this weekend.
