Packers promote Dorsey, release Taylor

The Packers made some roster moves prior to returning to the practice field Monday. The team has promoted wide receiver Kevin Dorsey from the practice squad. They filled that practice squad opening by signing cornerback Tay Glover-Wright. The team also released tight end Ryan Taylor.

Dorsey was a seventh-round pick of the Packers in 2013 out of Maryland. He spent his rookie season on injured reserve after injuring his toe in the preseason. He has been on the practice squad all of this season.

Taylor played in 50 games after Green Bay selected him in the seventh round of the 2011 draft. He made five appearances this season and made his main contributions on special teams.

Glover-Wright was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Falcons in May. Atlanta released him in August. The 6'0", 175-pound cornerback played two seasons at Utah State. He recorded 69 tackles, five tackles for loss, and 10 passes defensed.
