Badgers women's hockey ranked No. 1

MADISON (WKOW) -

 The Badgers women's hockey team has vaulted to the top. The Badgers are No. 1 in this week's USCHO Division 1 Women's Hockey Poll. It's Wisconsin's first No. 1 ranking since the 2011-12 season.

The Badgers swept Ohio State this past weekend to improve their record to 6-0-0. Wisconsin is off to it's best start in four years. The Badgers lead the nation in scoring and rank third in scoring defense.

 The top two teams in the nation will clash this weekend at La Bahn Arena as the Badgers host Minnesota Friday at 7 p.m. and Saturday at 3 p.m.
