MADISON (WKOW) -- Gov. Scott Walker's (R-Wisconsin) cabinet greeted him with a hero's welcome Wednesday afternoon after his reelection win over Democrat Mary Burke.
In a brief speech to his state agency heads, the Governor laid out some broad goals before closing the meeting to the media.
"Think as though we're just coming in new and taking a look at this as though you just walked in and you hadn't worked at all in state government before and you were trying to look at your state agency and say, 'what does this agency do well, what does this agency need to work on and what should this agency not be involved in at all?,'" Gov. Walker told his cabinet.
The Governor also told the group he planned to be even more aggressive in his second-term, because with greater Republican numbers, the state legislature is even more of an ally now.
After a 15 minute address, Gov. Walker closed the rest of the meeting to the media so he could discuss budget initiatives for 2015-16 with his cabinet.
