Kidd booed in return to Brooklyn as Nets coach

NEW YORK (AP) -

Jason Kidd revealed a distrust of the Nets' front office and a desire to get past his messy departure from the franchise when he returned to Brooklyn as coach of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The game Wednesday was Kidd's first against the team he led to two NBA Finals as a player and coached to the second round in 2013-14.

But he sought the Bucks job in the summer and the Nets eventually let him out of his contract by acquiring a couple of second-round picks from Milwaukee. Kidd says he believed the Nets wanted to fire him in December, which helped him see "what type of people I was dealing with."

He was booed when he came onto the floor and again when he was announced as Milwaukee coach.
