Five Badgers volleyball players earn All-American honors

 Sophomore Lauren Carlini capped off a great season by earning first-team All-American honors from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Senior Courtney Thomas and junior Taylor Morey earned second-team honors. Senior Dominique Thompson and sophomore Haleigh Nelson took home honorable mention honors.

Carlini is just the second first-team All-American at Wisconsin. She was the 2014 Big Ten Conference Player of the Year and Setter of the Year. The 6'2" setter was second in the conference with 11.23 assists per set. She also led the Badgers in service aces per set and was second on the team in digs per set.

Thomas was second on the squad with 2.84 kills per set. The right-side hitter also earned All-Big Ten honors.

Morey had double-figure digs in 31 matches this season. The libero was also second on the team in service aces.

Both of the Badgers middle blockers earned honorable mention. Nelson led Wisconsin in blocks per set. Thompson was second on the team in blocks.

This is the first time the Badgers have had five players earn All-American honors.
