Badger men's hockey ties with No. 2 Boston University

MADISON, Wis. – Wisconsin (2-11-2, 0-2-0-0 Big Ten) allowed the first goal, but scored the next three and looked poised to take down second-ranked Boston University (11-3-4, 7-1-2 Hockey East), but a pair of late BU goals tied the game for a 3-3 overtime final.

BU got two late third-period goals by Ahti Oksanen – one at 18:08 and the second at 19:57 – to tie the game. Both came with its goaltender pulled and an extra attacker on the ice. BU won the post-game shootout, but the game officially goes down as a tie.
In perhaps the team's best game of the year, UW fired a season-high 32 shots on goal. Junior defenseman Kevin Schulze tallied his first career short-handed goal and the team's first of the season to make it a 1-1 game in the second period. Redshirt sophomore forward Morgan Zulinick extended his point-scoring streak to six games with an assist.
